Dear Fello SAAB'ers,
It is with great sadness that we would like to put in record that our founding president, Mr Dass has departed from us. He passed away on the 19th of Oct after a brief illness.
Mr Dass was the driving force behind the formation of the SOCM (SAAB Owners Club Malaysia) and he spared no efforts in the conception of the club. Many a time, the funding for the startup of the club was forwarded by the late Mr Dass himself.
His passion for the SAAB marque itself was no secret, as he has always advocated the virtues and the safety aspects of the SAAB's and he never fails to share his very many fonds moments with anyone who has the time to listen.
He may have departed from us, but his memories will always remain strong in our midst, even as we continue to enjoy the SAAB marque.

The MYtrolls website has been revamped, and we need your cooperation to sign up again. You may receive an email instructing you on this. Enjoy the new site, it has been a long time coming. We've got all sorts of new things:

MYtrolls - what's that?
Welcome to the MYtrolls website, where we, as proud Malaysians, celebrate our SAAB ownership in a measured blend of comaraderie, passion and enthusiasm! As of 2008 this site is 4 years young, and we have certainly learned to crawl and roll over, walk, and now run! The name MYtrolls is a play on our origins (Malaysia, country code MY) and the town Trollhattan, where some SAABs were originally manufactured!
So what happens on this forum?
We post up details about our cars, discuss any changes we are planning, discuss maintenance rituals, obsess about them and all things in general with a SAAB-y theme. We also disucss the important things in life like how to get the cute girls (99% there after the correct car selection) or cute guys (see above)...
Whats in it for me?
Besides getting to meet the best looking people this side of the equator, we exchange tips on where to get parts, where to eat the best food to keep us in the trim shape that we are, where to travel to see the prettiest sunset...
How do I join?
You can sign up to this forum for FREE by clicking on the "Register" links placed conveniently at the top of the page. Membership to the formal SAAB Owners Club of Malaysia costs RM210 for the first year, and RM60 for renewal. Membership has benefits above and beyond those listed above, starting with discounted trips and goodies.
Are you people all nerds who spend all your time online?
We get away from our computers, if only to enjoy the safe turbocharged power we have at our disposal  At the very least, our fortnightly teh-tarik sessions... Where? Join to find out!
